Founded in Berlin in 2013 by Portuguese designer Pedro Passos da Silva, VAVA draws inspiration from architecture and industrial design, using simple shapes like squares, circles, rectangles, and triangles to create austere and minimalist eyewear, inspired by buildings and pure as a geometric abstraction.

The 2024 collection of VAVA sunglasses and optical glasses is rich in colors such as green, orange, and blue.

The frames are made from acetate material produced from cotton fibers and wood pulp, creating an eco-friendly formulation. The performance and aesthetic qualities remain unchanged, while also ensuring a reduced and certified environmental impact.

All VAVA lenses are made from crystal. For the brand, only the purity of glass can fully enhance the optical precision of a lens and the durability of its features over time, along with its transparency.
